San Antonio, Texas | A bittersweet victor in the case of deceased whose body went missing following her memorial service in August of 2015. The family of deceased sued the funeral home parlor for negligence. The deceased remains went missing while in possession of Mission Park Funeral Chapels & Cemeteries’ Mission Park North facility. Julie Mott died at the age of 25 on August 8, 2015. The body went missing following her memorial service while waiting a transfer to be cremated.

Her damaged casket was found by employees at Mission Park North on Cherry Ridge. Attorneys were seeking a $10 Million award for past and future mental anguish of the parents because of the loss of their daughters body.

The civil suit trail started in January 2018.  A Texas jury has awarded the family $8 million.
